An abstract watercolour painting inspired by the form and colours of lichen. It is in shades of grey, green and gold and is composed of layers of abstract shapes in the different colours.

The overall shape of the composition is organic like a patch of lichen on a tree and has more overlapping shapes in the middle and thins out at the edges.

This abstract watercolour painting is the largest in the series and is inspired by the colours of Xanthoria Parietina from grey to green to lime green to gold to deep gold, almost orange. The organically shaped composition is made up of translucent overlapping shades, denser in the centre and thinner towards the edges.

This large abstract watercolour painting is inspired by the colours of lichen and is in shades of green and grey and yellow. It is lighter at the top and darker on the bottom. The colours are rich with dots and splotches of paint blooming onto the wet paint below, evoking the blooms of lichen found on the pavement and elsewhere.
